Daniel O'Donohoe joined Ion Equity in 2006 and has experience in all aspects of mergers, acquisitions, corporate development, restructuring and private equity investing. His expertise covers sectors such as renewable energy, outsourced services, healthcare, equipment hire, forestry, retail, construction materials and hotels.

His private equity successes include the acquisition of the SWS Group for €110 million and the disposal of its wind energy business for €550m to Bord Gáis Éireann 3 years later.   Ion continues to own a number of businesses within the SWS Group and Daniel sits on the group Board and is actively involved in the management of these businesses.  Other notable private equity investments include the acquisition of Ocean Media and sale for stg£104 million at a significant return for investors.  Daniel has recently undertaken senior executive roles in a number of Ion’s portfolio companies.
