Joe is a co-founder of Ion Equity and takes a leading role in most of its investments and exits. He has filled a number of Non Executive and Executive positions on portfolio companies. Joe has been involved in developing integration strategies, business models reviews and portfolio exits in the energy and services sector.

Joe Devine lead the investment into what has become Ireland’s premier TV and film production group by taking significant stakes in Troy Studios in 2015 and subsequently spearheading the buyout of Ardmore Studios in 2018.  

Prior to co-founding Ion Equity, Joe was a Director at Ernst & Young where his clients included some of Ireland’s leading companies.  He has extensive experience advising growing companies on how to achieve their business objectives. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants as well as an Associate of the Institute of Taxation.
