Dermot joined Ion Equity in September 2006 and has led and managed the transfer of the Topaz property portfolio into the Resource Property Investment Fund, a vehicle established by the Topaz Energy shareholders to own and manage the property interests of the group.

Prior to joining Ion Equity, Dermot was Head of development at Jurys Doyle, and oversaw Irish and UK expansion and the development of new 4-star Jurys Hotels in Boston, Dublin and Cork. He was also Finance Director with Glencullen Holdings, and has worked in PricewaterhouseCoopers, Procter and Gamble in London and Forte Hotels in Dublin. Dermot is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
