Ion Equity professionals have developed deep industry expertise in certain sectors, including energy, convenience retailing, business services, hotels and media, which we have leveraged to enhance value in our companies. We also have trusted international banking relationships - not an insignificant attribute given the current scarcity of capital. Ion Equity acquires controlling stakes in private companies through buyouts and strategic investments. We invest our own money as well as funds on behalf of a short list of leading institutional and private clients. We have consistently delivered investor returns greater than expectations, and far in excess of private equity norms. We seek to build world-class businesses and long-term value. Because we invest our own money and do not operate a fund structure, we are not driven by the typical private equity business model of portfolio churn and management fees.
